Summary of events

- Bilbo Baggins: the story begins with the hobbit Bilbo Baggins who lives a quiet life in the shire.

- Gandalf: The Wizard Gandalf appears and convinces Bilbo to join a group of dwarves to restore their kingdom, which was stolen by the dragon Smaug.

- Dwarves: Bilbo joins Thorin Oakenshield and his dwarf companions on a perilous journey to the Lonely Mountain.

- Challenges: they face many challenges, including Trolls, clash with trolls, meeting with Gollum who owns the magic ring.
- The magic ring: Bilbo discovers the magic ring that Gollum has that gives him the ability to disguise himself.
